MedImpact to hear Walter M. Bortz on "Health as an Asset."

Walter M. Bortz To Speak at Dare To Be Fit!
Walter M. Bortz II, M.D. will speak at the Fifty Plus Lifelong Fitness' 24th Annual Fitness Weekend. The title of Dr. Bortz's speech will be "Dare to be Fit...Actions for a Healthy Lifestyle," and will be at the new Arrillaga Alumni Center at Stanford University in Palo Alto, CA, at 2:45pm on Saturday, March 10.
Other speakers will include Joyce Hanna of the Stanford Health Improvement Project Christopher Gardner, assistant professor in the Department of Medicine at Stanford University, and the Director of Nutrition Studies at the Stanford Prevention Research Center, Steven Blair, Professor in the Department of Exercise Science and Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the Arnold School of Public Health, University of South Carolina, John Robbins, author of Diet for a New American and Healthy at 100.
On Sunday, March 11, Dr. Bortz will be running the Paul Spangler Memorial 8K as part of the Dare to Be Fit running and walking events in conjunction with the Bay Area Senior Games.

Walter M. Bortz ll, M.D. ran in the Beijing International Marathon, organized by the Chinese Athletics Association. The International Association of Athletics Federations sanctioned and approved the Beijing Marathon as one of the top Marathons in the world. First held in 1981, the Beijing International Marathon is held every year in October. Beijing is also the host city to the 2008 Olympics. Dr. Bortz's has completed 35 Marathons, in 36 years, and run many half-marathons. At 76 years of age, Dr. Bortz continues to practice what he preaches.
